There are not many beaches that offer a spectacular view of the magical island Es Vedra, but Cala d’Hort is one of them. Es Vedra stands proudly out of the waters of Cala d’Hort and is just one attractive feature of the bay. When the sun sets behind Es Vedra, the view from here is simply spectacular.
Cala d’Hort is an extremely popular beach because of its location. Although it is not in the middle of a thriving tourist area, masses of people know of its beauty and flock here daily throughout the summer. Equally sandy and pebbly, the bay is typical of the beaches you find on the western coast of Ibiza, but not many can rival the view on show here. Even the surrounding cliffs are breath-taking. A gradual slope encompasses the beach with the famous Ibiza hills in the skyline behind it.
The bay boasts three impressive beach restaurants. Two of which are located directly on the beach, the third Es Boldado, is a short walk down the road that leads up to Cala d’Hort. The two restaurants on the beach are very popular during the daytime and even at night. They are known for their fresh fish and at sunset there will never be an empty table.
You can reach Cala d’Hort by car in about 10 minutes from San Jose, or 20 minutes from San Antonio. Close by there are numerous other beautiful beaches such as Cala Vadella. Hiring a car is the ideal way to explore what else is available. There is parking in Cala d’Hort but it fills up very quickly. It is advised to get there as soon as possible.
