Ibiza Beaches: Cala Moli

Along the western coastline there are many beautiful beaches and bays that you could choose for a day out. The vibrant Cala Bassa and the intimate Cala Gracioneta highlight both ends of the Ibiza beach spectrum, each being desirable in different ways. Cala Moli fuses together both of the different features, making it one of Ibiza’s hidden gems that you should definitely consider.

Just south of Cala Tarida, Cala Moli is a short drive from Sant Josep or San Antonio which will see you arrive in around 15 minutes. A taxi could cost upwards of 20€ from these destinations so hiring a car may be a better option, if you wish to do some more Ibiza sightseeing.

The attraction for many to Cala Moli, is the fact that it does not have the usual over saturated line of hotels along its shores, that bring with them an influx of endless tourists. The beach restaurant at Cala Moli is a testimony to the luxury of relaxation. Complete with a pool and sun loungers for customers, many choose to sit back here and let the day fade away.

The beach itself is a situated within a cleft in the hillside. The pebbled beach at Cala Moli has been honoured with the declaration of one of the few ‘natural’ beaches by the Sant Josép Town Hall. This prestigious respect of its beauty means it is not unimpaired by fleets of sun loungers and parasols. Many choose Cala Moli for snorkelling and swimming, the crystal clear waters and rocky sea bed make it a hub of marine life. There are also countess caves you can investigate along the sides of the bay.

Choose Cala Moli for your beach day if the word ‘relax’ means a lot to you.
