The rocky precipices which line the cove of Es Figueral, are distinctive for their abundance of leafy fig trees. Situated to the north east of the island, Es Figueral borders the smaller shores of s’Aigua Blanca, Es Pou des Lleo and Cala Boix. It is only a ten minute drive from San Carlos, where you can find more bars and restaurants to wind down in, after a hard day at the beach. It is also less than an hours car ride from any of the major resorts and those looking to hire a car to explore, should definitely take a look. Es Figuerel is one of the larger beaches in the area and offers a lot of daytime activity.
The sandy shores are great for chilling out in the sun and draw a plethora of holiday makers from the bordering holiday complex. The amenities available are plentiful and great for families looking to keep kids entertained for the whole day. Water sports range from a relaxing trip on a pedalo, to the chance to try your hand on an exhilarating jet ski. The stunning views also include the private island of Tagomago.
Independent restaurants and bars are plentiful, so you can take a break from the heat to taste some delicious local Paella with a beverage or two. Sunday nights are also a delight in Es Figueral and many an acoustic performance can be caught playing out into the evening.
For those staying in the vicinity of Es Figuerel, there is the opportunity to hop aboard the Ibiza tourist train. This quaint vehicle can be seen trundling along the roads offering a new vantage point for holiday makers to see the north of the island. Departing every Wednesday at 10.30am throughout the summer, you will be guided through some of the hot spots in this area. Meandering through Cala Boix to Cala Leña, you can check out some of the smaller beaches in the area. The train then takes you to the famous hippy market at Es Cana, where you will be able to pick up some truly unique souvenirs.
