Ibiza Clubs: Privilege

Still deemed the largest club in the world, Privilege is one place you probably will not mind getting lost in. The roof stands twenty five metres high, and the main room can house more people than you could probably consume alcoholic beverages in a year. Just down the road from Amnesia, transport is needed to arrive at this super club and you are likely to see many a privileged vehicle parked outside. Aside from the main room, Privilege also boasts a swimming pool and the newly refurbished Vista Club.

Privilege: A State of Trance 2013

Starting life under the name of Ku in the 1970s, Jose Antonio Santamaria expanded the brand to form a club soon after. It was a magnet for the rich and famous and has a history for lavish, debauched affairs. Celebrities flocked towards its infamous walls, seeing everyone from Grace Jones to Freddie Mercury. Enter the 1990s and Ku became under the new ownership of Jose Maria Etxaniz and it was in 1993, that it received the new name Privilege. Rejuvenating the brand he brought Tiesto and also the now legendary Manumission night to Ibiza.

The return of Monday’s A State of Trance with Armin Van Buuren remains one of their most popular nights drawing in crowds which the copious space it has to offer. The risqué Supermartxe is back on Fridays, where it is not necessarily just the extravagant costumes that will make your jaw drop. El Row is a Saturday night classic which embodies the carnival flavour of Spanish entertainment with a host of theatrical spectacles to take your breath away. Offering a more intimate experience than the main room, you have the freshly redesigned Vista Club. Catering for a variety of underground tastes, it is hosting a range of different nights that are definitely worth a look at. This includes what is dubbed the extravagantly jungle night Manimalz, which allows clubbers another chance in their calendar to explore their inner animal. They also have Get Physical On Ibiza every Tuesday with M.A.N.D.Y.
