Privilege Ibiza - The World's Largest Club

Privilege initially started life in the 1970s as a restaurant and bar, located in the heart of Ibiza.

Privilege initially started life in the 1970s as a restaurant and bar, located in the heart of Ibiza. In 1979 the venue was sold to ex-Spanish football player Jose Antonio Santamaria, and alongside his creative team, the club was born. The venue was then known as Ku (named after a Hawaiian god).

Throughout the ‘80s, Ku became known as one of Europe’s premiere night clubs. Back then, the nightclub was an open-air venue, with wild parties focused around the in-house swimming pool. Live acts such as Spandau Ballet, Kid Creole, and the video for “Barcelona” by Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballe was filmed here.

Later legislation and licensing laws forced all large venues to cover their dance floor, so in the early ‘90s, the outdoor parties here stopped. To this day the large dome area, which is still used as a chill-out zone remains open air.

Privilege still holds the record for the world’s largest nightclub with a massive capacity for 10.000 people.

The party Manumission projected the club to even higher heights throughout the ‘90s and early ‘00s. Global superstars played here, including Duran Duran, Carl Cox, Gloria Gaynor, Grace Jones, James Brown, Kylie Minogue, and much more.

When the night party starts here in Privilege with 10,000 people, there are very few places that can rival the experience
