Fiesta Date:- 16th November
This charismatic village lies directly in the center of the island, and in recent years has become a hotspot for tourists and locals alike. Located far from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, it’s a peaceful and relaxing village to spend your days, and if you’re searching for a family-friendly vacation, then look no further. Santa Gertrudis is lively all year round, where international residing families flock to for community life, impressive schools, and a child-friendly location.
Numerous cafes and tapas bars surround the pedestrianised and beautifully designed ‘yellow and white’ plaza of Santa Gertrudis, offering the perfect place to meet for a coffee or glass of wine or indulge in a great variety of global cuisine from its many restaurants. Step into one of the tiny studios/galleries and see traditional artists at their easels.
The church lies at the heart of the village; work began in 1785 and was completed in the early 19th century. The imposing bell was added in 1899 after being constructed in Barcelona.
Santa Gertrudis is picture-perfect, perfectly safe to let the littles roam around the plaza or playground, great for shopping from their high-quality boutiques and bio food stores, and offers a fantastic evening atmosphere for all.
