THE MAIN BEACH STRIP IN SAN ANTONIO, IBIZA
S’Arenal is a long, wide beach of fine, white sand opposite the busy promenade. Due to its easy access and central location, this beach is always a top choice, but never too overcrowded. Shallow, safe waters make it a great place for young children. However, it must be noted that this strip, especially in the height of summer, is largely consumed with young adults often spilling out from the many bars directly in front. So, if you’re with young children it may be best to consider San Antonio Bay with its several smaller sandy beaches.
TOP BEACH HOTSPOT IN SAN ANTONIO BAY, IBIZA
San Antonio Bay is home to four incredibly popular beaches and numerous small coves, all awaiting exploration. The good news is, the main town of San Antonio is easy to get to on foot via the promenade and pathways that connect the beaches and coastline. There are also plenty of buses, taxis, and regular water taxis operating between the two resorts – so if convenience is at the top of beach day list, San Antonio Bay may be the perfect spot for you! Here you will find:
ES POUET
Es Pouet has fine golden sand and shallow water, so it’s perfect for the kids. Additionally, if you’re feeling adventurous, a ferry boat service operates here to many of the other nearby beaches. There are also plenty of amenities close by including the fantastic Es Pouet beach shack.
PLAYA S’ESTANYOL
If you walk along the small headland from Es Pouet, you will find S’Estanyol beach. Fronting the Hotel S’Estanyol is a thin strip of sand. This small beach offers sunbeds, parasols, watersports and easy access to many local bars and restaurants. From here, you can catch ferries to the neighbouring beaches.
PLAYA PINET
The next beach round the bay is Playa Pinet, which has soft sand, shallow waters, and many water sports to choose from. This stretch of golden sand and gently sloping waters make for a popular family beach. Also known as ‘Reggae Reggae’ beach due to the popular beach shack restaurant that resides here.
PLAYA XINXO
Situated in front of the Hotel Playa Bella and Hotel Amare is Playa Xinxo, a beautiful sandy beach that faces inland providing gentle and calm waters. Surrounded by amenities and great transport links, this beach is also amazing for those who require disability and easy access.
BEST fAMILY bEACHES NEAR SAN ANTONIO, IBIZA
While Es Pouet, Playa S’Estanyol, Playa Pinet, and Playa Xinxo are all great for families with safe, calm waters and a lot of water sport activities, Port des Torrent Beach (just a 10 minute stroll from the end of the bay) is also a great spot for a fun-filled day out with the family.
PORT DES TORRENT BEACH
While not officially in San Antonio town or bay, this beach is worth the extra effort as it is absolutely stunning and only a short stroll from the end of bay road. It boasts turquoise waters, sun loungers, restaurants and hotels, as well as plenty of water-sports. This beach is a very popular spot for families in the San Antonio area, so be sure to arrive early to get a secure spot before the beach fills up.
SECLUDED SECRET BEACHES IN SAN ANTONIO, IBIZA
Nowadays, even the most hidden secluded beaches in Ibiza are pretty well known. But, if you want something a little less well known and off the beaten track, then Playa Galera is a great option and away from the crowds and hedonism of the local town.
PLAYA & PUNTA GALERA
Very close to San Antonio is a small and pebbly beach surrounded by vast amounts of rocky terrain with majestic surroundings. Summer can be busy, but you can always hang out on the rocky slopes if the beach is full. Be sure to stick around for one of the biggest sunset displays on the island.

In the summer months, this beach is one of the most lively spots in Ibiza, despite its small size. Here you will find the legendary Café Mambo with great music, world-renowned DJs, and world-class parties, as well as the popular Mint Lounge, Savannah and Wiki Woo Hotel.
