San Antonio is shaping up for a sizzling summer ahead! As we move quickly into the 2016 season, the resort is already alive with families, partygoers and those who come to enjoy all that this much loved and thriving town has to offer. And this year, there are more new additions to the San Antonio scene, making it an even more attractive destination for visitors of all ages. Here at Ibiza Hire we have discovered three new fantastic spots where you can spend your time this season in San An.

Hostal la Torre, Cap Negret

Hostal La Torre
This delightful hostal, restaurant and bar has benefited from a complete refurb, cleverly and tastefully overseen by the team behind the legendary Mambo Cafe. It enjoys a prime location in the picturesque are of Cap Negret, just outside the main resort of San Antonio, but once you arrive here you could feel like you are a world away from everything. Romantic, secluded and elegant, everything about this venue simply oozes style and luxury. Nestled in between the beautiful bays of Punta Galera and Cala Gracio, it is quite simply an idyllic haven away from the hustle and bustle of the main town.  La Torre also boasts one of the very best sunset views to be found anywhere on the island, and we can´t think of a better place to watch the sun make its final descent into the sea, cocktail in hand after yet another blissful Ibizan day. You can choose to simply enjoy the view from the pretty terrace, or sample the culinary delights of their restaurant which is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Should you wish to have an overnight stay then you will delight in their beautifully styled bedrooms, all of which are complete with their own private terrace, air con and satellite tv.

The Jam Shack

The Jam Shack Ibiza
If you like your food spicy and a reggae soundtrack then you are in luck, as the much loved Jam Shack has relocated from its premises in Cala Llonga to the very heart of San Antonio, just off the Avenida Dr Fleming, close to the famous Ibiza Rocks Bar. This colourful, vibrant bar and restaurant is family friendly, and run by Jamaican born, but long time island resident Stevie and his wife Nicky. One of the highlights of the venue is the bespoke cocktail bar which has been carefully crafted from the remains of an old Ibicencan fishing boat, and transformed into a funky bar, where resident mixologist Mimmo will be preparing his own unique blends of rum punch, sorrel mojitos, plus freshly made smoothies and juices. As for the food, Caribbean cuisine is in Stevie´s blood and he uses age old family recipes passed down through generations to create authentic, delicious and decidedly addictive dishes such as jerk chicken, curried goat and lamb, which will leave you wanting to try everything on the menu! Opening in mid May, the restaurant has expansive outside space and so is a great option for families as well as those who just wish to taste a slice of the Caribbean right here in Ibiza.

Rio Ibiza

Rio Ibiza rooftop bar
This new venue´s tagline promises to ´Redefine San Antonio´. So expectations are high for this glossy new club, restaurant and bar which has been constructed on the site of the once legendary Pussycat bar. With its glass exterior, extensive outside terrace, dedicated club area offering panoramic views over the coastline, rooftop bar, lounge and separate dining area, Rio seems to have it all covered. No expense has been spared in the construction and decoration of this sparkling new building, and it certainly stands out from the crowd with its glossy appearance. We are waiting with bated breath for the grand opening, rumoured to be in the third week of May, let’s hope Rio can live up to its promise and transform the face of San Antonio!
